UN Global Compact Network Singapore (UNGCNS) is seeking a Senior Marketing & Communications Executive to help build a thriving community and movement for corporate sustainability through sharp marketing, communication, and branding efforts.

This role suits someone proactive, digitally fluent, highly organised, and passionate about creating impactful content and community engagement in the sustainability space. You’ll work closely with the Marketing & Outreach team to strengthen UNGCNS’ brand presence, deepen member engagement, and amplify national-level sustainability initiatives.


Responsibilities

1. Content Creation & Design (30%)

  • Conceptualise, design, and produce marketing assets including member success stories, brochures, newsletters, thought-leadership articles, videos, and campaign collateral.
  • Develop high-quality visuals using Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, or similar tools.
  • Support content packaging for key UNGCNS initiatives (e.g., Forward Faster, SME membership campaigns, Impact Report, Summit collateral).

2. Social Media Strategy & Execution (15%)

  • Plan and execute a strategic social media calendar across LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook, and YouTube.
  • Write clear, compelling captions and thought-leadership posts aligned with UNGCNS’ voice.
  • Optimise content for engagement, reach, and conversions.
  • Track performance metrics and iterate content accordingly.

3. Communications & Editorial Support (10%)

  • Draft EDMs, newsletters, event announcements, and short-form member features.
  • Support speechwriting and messaging for leadership.
  • Ensure consistent storytelling, tone, and brand alignment across platforms.

4. Website & Digital Management (15%)

  • Assist with updating and maintaining UNGCNS websites.
  • Upload articles, event pages, membership content, and resources.
  • Support basic SEO optimisation (tags, metadata, structure).
  • Ensure campaign landing pages are user-friendly and on-brand.

5. Video Production & Member Engagement (10%)

  • Support production of video assets: member testimonials, trainer videos, programme explainers, event highlights.
  • Prepare scripts, storyboards, interview guides, and liaise with vendors.
  • Manage timelines across pre-production, filming, and post-production.

6. Marketing Operations & Tracking (5%)

  • Coordinate digital and paid ads (Google Ads, LinkedIn Ads) when needed.
  • Track campaign performance, competitor activities, and social trends.
  • Assist in preparing quarterly MarComms performance reports.

7. Event & Programme Marketing (5%)

  • Support marketing of flagship events (UNGCNS Summit, Academy sessions, workshops, member events).
  • Produce event collateral such as banners, screens, agendas, and social assets.
  • Coordinate photo/videography requirements.

8. Cross-Team Collaboration (5%)

  • Work with Membership, Programmes, and Partnerships teams on:
    • Member onboarding communication
    • Partner campaigns
    • Launches of new initiatives
    • Advocacy campaigns linked to national sustainability priorities
  • Provide MarComms guidance to ensure consistent positioning.

9. General Support & Administration (5%)

  • Manage mailing lists, EDM scheduling, vendor coordination, and asset archiving.
  • Provide ad hoc support for research, data collection, and reporting.
  • Assist daily operations in a fast-paced, tight-knit team.

Requirements

  • Nitec/Higher Nitec/Diploma in Mass Communications or related fields, with 2+ years of hands-on experience in marketing/communications or advertising.
  • Organised, goal-oriented, and able to take ownership of projects.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills; confident with varied stakeholders.
  • Working knowledge of design tools (Photoshop, Illustrator, Canva), editorial tools (Mailchimp/Pardot), video editing (Final Cut, iMovie, Powtoon), and scheduling tools like Trello.
  • Some knowledge of WordPress (Pro, Elementor), Google Ads, Campaign Manager, and copywriting is advantageous.
  • Proactive, solution-oriented, and team-spirited.
  • Strong research, data collection, and analytical capabilities.
  • Eagerness to learn and grow.
  • Comfortable working within a small team.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
