UNGCNS Foundations in Corporate Sustainability

Globally, businesses are recognising the opportunities and risks arising from sustainability-related topics.

In Singapore, the movement towards sustainability has accelerated on multiple fronts, including the introduction of new regulations and the launch of the Singapore Green Plan. How can you then build a resilient enterprise and generate business value for stakeholders while mitigating risks?

UN Global Compact Network Singapore’s  Foundations in Corporate Sustainability  is an introductory course  for working professionals, which will provide an overview of global and regional sustainability trends and an understanding of how sustainability can be applied to improve business practices and enhance existing work functions. Spanning environmental, social and governance (ESG) topics. This 2 day course is part of the ESP Sustainability Course series designed to provide foundational knowledge, practical guidance, as well as tools and resources to help companies, especially SMEs, to jumpstart their sustainability journey.

Upon completion of the course, participants will also have the opportunity to join the UN Global Compact community and tap onto additional resources.

Duration Of The Course

 

Fee (Subject To Prevailing GST On The Full Rate)

The course duration is two (2) days.

Full Fee : S$1500

Subsidised fee *: S$450

*Enterprise Singapore co-funds 70% of the workshop fees for participants, capped at 3 per eligible company for all ESP sustainability workshops.

Subsidy is applicable to all business entities registered and operating in Singapore. This excludes (a) non-pro t organisations and charities (registered as public companies limited by guarantee); and (b) foreign companies operating in Singapore (registered as branch or representative offices).

The subsidy also applies to employees of Trade ssociations and Chambers in Singapore


Learning Activites

The classroom learning will be facilitated by e perienced industry professionals. This will be complemented by guided use of tools to accelerate practical application and peer learning opportunities


Certificate

Upon completion, participants will be awarded a certi cate of completion by UN Global Compact Network Singapore

The Enterprise Sustainability Programme (ESP) supports Singapore businesses on sustainability initiatives and to capture new opportunities in the green economy.

These courses aim to build awareness and knowledge of sustainability amongst local business leaders and enable participants to access tools and resources to help them assess their current sustainability readiness and

Company is liable to make full payment for the course fees if company or participants are found to be ineligible or fail to complete the course.

Huang Sue -Ann

Associate Director, Centre for Impact Investing and Practices (CIIP)

Sue-Ann works with regional and global partners to drive impact investing in Asia and beyond - building knowledge assets, championing industry standards, and convening stakeholders to bring about positive action. CIIP is a non-profit entity established by Temasek Trust, with Temasek and ABC Impact as strategic partners. CIIP is also the anchor partner for SDG Impact in Asia. Sue-Ann has close to two decades of experience in corporate sustainability and impact measurement and management. She is certified in Sustainable Finance by the Cambridge Institute for Sustainability Leadership, and is an Accredited Trainer for the United Nations Development Programme SDG Impact Standards. She is qualified through the Singapore Workforce Skills Qualifications Advanced Certificate in Learning and Performance (ACLP) to deliver adult learning and assessments.

Terence Tan

Director, Carbon Management, UNGCNS

Terence Tan is the Director (Carbon Management), of UN Global Compact Network Singapore. In this role, he oversees operational and strategic decarbonisation activities for CPLC (Carbon Pricing Leadership Coalition) Singapore, which is the decarbonisation arm of UNGCNS.
